I decided in June 18, 2019 to quit Facebook for good in one year.
I don't want to tell you what terrible story made me decide that that's
it! There are a lot of them, and every now and then we have a break from
one terrible story for another.
But before deciding to do so, I started advising people to quit Facebook
gradually. People are reluctant to just quit it when advised to do so;
sometimes it is because their business relies on this platform. So in my
opinion they should to it gradually`. And if they see that users disappear,
they will have to find another platform eventually.
People like to complain about Facebook. Some of them even file lawsuits
against the network, nut I don't see them satisfied with the verdict.
They are not satisfied with the $5B fine they've got from the FTC.
I even see people who struggle to return to Favebook if facebook have
banned them. Why? What kind of mindset is that?
I have my own reasons to cancel my account. It is because I wonder if
I have any friends there. They sometimes just "like" links I publish to
my blog, without even following that link, and it seems to me that the most
public posts in FB I write to mom.
So, I decided to quit!
There are other platforms, don't worry. For example, you can write blogs
to Wordpress and find other people you can follow. You can join newsgroups
and sign up for newsletters. Etc.
