The other day I experienced a short power failure, after which my compuer would
reboot time and time again.
The cause for the recurring reboot is named _panic_>, which is the error
handling method to use when all else fails. The message displayed at reboot time
was "Panic - ffs_valloc: dup alloc". I found the solution easily using the Lynx
browser; with a GUI browser the system would crash faster.
So, the solution is to boot in _Single User_ mode, and run _fsck_ until the file
system is clean. I had chosen to run it as follows:
