Just briefly reading through the specs, I can't see any reason why
someone would want to use this over FreeRTOS unless they have a
Rust-based embedded system project. Is there something I'm missing
here?

  The description says it: "multiple concurrent, mutually
  distrustful applications"Although there is some support for
  setting up MPUs, generally FreeRTOS applications have full access
  to all the memory.
